An officer was injured during the arrest of a drug dealer in Carle Place, police say.
They say officers were trying to arrest Steven Clark after a traffic stop in the area of Westbury Avenue and Jamaica Boulevard.
Police say Clark became violent and an officer was injured during the scuffle.
Detectives say multiple bags of what is believed to be cocaine were recovered along with other drug paraphernalia.
Clark is facing multiple drug and assault charges.
