Three buildings were evacuated today in Suffolk after police say an anonymous caller claimed that bombs would go off at government offices in Islip and Hauppauge. No threats were discovered when police searched Islip Town Hall and the Department of Social Services (DSS) building in Hauppauge. A privately owned building next to DSS was evacuated as a precaution, police say. Investigators say an "item" was found on Wireless Road, but the bomb squad determined it was not a threat. To watch Chopper 12 video from the scene of the evacuation in Hauppauge, go to channel 612 on your iO digital cable box and select the 'iO Extra' tab.
