Nassau police say a man on a motorcycle was killed after crashing into a tractor-trailer Saturday night on the Long Island Expressway in Plainview.

The 30-year-old who was pronounced dead at the scene had not yet been identified as of Sunday evening.

Detectives say he was driving eastbound on the expressway near Exit 46 when he rear-ended a tractor-trailer.

The 57-year-old driver of the truck was not hurt and remained at the scene, according to police.

A safety check was performed on the truck.
