8h agoA mother and her children are recovering after they were hit by a car in Aquebogue .
Police say the 38-year-old woman was walking on West Lane Tuesday night with her 7-year-old and 4-month-old.
According to police, that is when a car driving north hit them.
News 12 has been told both the mother and the 7-year-old were injured in the crash.
The two children were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.
Police say the mother was airlifted to the hospital. There is no word on the extent of her injuries.
