Police are investigating after someone tossed a Molotov cocktail at a man in Smithtown.
Police tell News 12 they received a call around 11 p.m. yesterday that a person threw a lit object at a man on Winston Drive.
News 12 Long Island has learned the attacker ran away and the unidentified victim was taken to the hospital for a head injury, but he was not burned.
So far there is no word on a motive.
