Police: Masked men kill 1, injure 3 at White Star MTR on Cedarhurst Avenue in Medford
A holiday tragedy in Medford has claimed the life of one person and injured three others.
Police say two masked men shot four people inside White Star MTR on Cedarhurst Avenue early Wednesday morning, resulting in the death of a Patchogue teen.
Police say they received a 911 call about several armed and masked men that had entered the building and demanded cash. They say during the confrontation, four people including Taleik Bristel were shot.
Bristel was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bristel's family says the 19-year-old graduated from Patchogue Medford High School and recently talked about going back to school.
Friends also tell News 12 Long Island that Frank Gutman was a victim of the shooting. He is now recovering after emergency surgery.
The three injured victims were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
