Police say Dei Aisha Wynter, 22 of Central Islip, was heading south on Rockaway Turnpike when she hit the man in front of a Costco around 3:30 a.m.

A man died after being struck by an alleged drunk driver early Monday in Lawrence, according to police.
Police say 22-year-old Dei Aisha Wynter, of Central Islip, was heading south on Rockaway Turnpike when she hit the man in front of a Costco around 3:30 a.m.
Wynter stayed at the scene but was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Police have not released the name or age of the man who was killed.
