The Havanese puppy that was stolen from a Huntington Station pet store was recovered Wednesday in Brooklyn, police say.
The 3-month-old dog was returned to Selmer's Pet Land on East Jericho Turnpike after it was found.
News 12 is told the suspect came in at around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday and put the dog inside a backpack.
The dog is microchipped, and the thief was caught on camera.
The suspect was described as being white, around 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing a purple jacket and yarmulke.
An investigation into the dognapping is ongoing.
