Concerns are growing in a Suffolk community as police continue their search for the person who shot a man in Greenlawn late Saturday night.
The July 1 shooting happened on Brooklyn Avenue near Croley Street just after 10 p.m.
News 12 is told the unidentified victim was shot twice and taken to Huntington Hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The incident happened about a block from Broadway, where a possible gang-related shooting took place last month.
Residents in Huntington tell News 12 they are worried that violence is becoming a new trend.
“It's getting ridiculous to the point where you're scared to walk outside," said Huntington resident Earline Milligan.
Individuals with information related to this incident are asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
