Police say a man was shot in his legs in West Babylon Tuesday night, just blocks away from where a triple homicide took place last week.
Police say 30-year-old Rohan Manragh was shot three times in the legs. Detective Lt. Robert Edwards says the motive for the shooting is still unclear, but they are investigating if it was gang-related.
The shooting took place less than half a mile from the triple homicide in Wyandanch. Detectives says they are investigating if the two incidents are connected. They are asking for any witnesses to step forward.
According to court documents, Manragh has a long criminal history. He had just been released from state prison in March and is currently on parole. Manragh served 2 1/2 years for assault, burglary, criminal contempt and harassment.
