Police: Man seriously injured in Medford LIE crash

Police say a two-vehicle crash happened a little after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on the LIE's westbound side near Exit 65.

A serious crash late Wednesday night closed lanes on the Long Island Expressway in Medford for several hours.
Police say a two-vehicle crash happened a little after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on the LIE's westbound side near Exit 65.
A man driving a Kia rear-ended a Toyota, driven by a woman, according to police. The man was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The woman went to a hospital with minor injuries.
Westbound lanes in the area were closed until nearly 6 a.m. as police investigated the incident.
