A suspect is wanted for a shooting that left one man seriously injured on Thursday night in Mastic Beach.
Suffolk police say the incident occurred following an argument between two men at a gas station on Neighborhood Road.
The suspect fired a gun into the sidewalk and fled on foot at around 6:50 p.m., according to authorities.
The man followed the shooter and confronted him in front of a home on Commack Road. Police say the suspect then shot the 38-year-old victim in the torso and fled at around 7 p.m.
Authorities say the victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. No arrests have been made yet.
