Police: Man scammed out of $110,000 by fake real estate attorney

Police say the victim wired him money to close on a property after emailing back and forth on Monday.

A fake real estate attorney has scammed a Massapequa man out of more than $110,000, according to police.
Police say the victim wired him money to close on a property after emailing back and forth on Monday.
However, he received an email from his real attorney that he had been scammed.
Police are looking for the person responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
