One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting Saturday in Freeport, police say.

One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting Saturday in Freeport, police say.
The incident happened in the Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Stevens Street at around 4:30 p.m.
Police say when they responded to the scene, a 21-year-old and 19-year-old victim, were found shot.
News 12 is told the unidentified 21-year-old was rushed to the hospital, but later died.
The 19-year-old is in stable condition.
Residents say they didn't know what was going on initially.
"I wasn't even sure it was gunshots—we just heard explosions," says Charm Brown. "Then while sitting there having dinner, we saw the ambulance and police vehicle coming in, then we realized it was really gunshots that we heard."
Police have not confirmed if any arrests were made.
