A man was shot in front of a home in Bay Shore Saturday, officials say.
The incident happened on Second Avenue.
News 12 is told a car pulled up to the house and someone inside opened fire.
"It is very scary because I have a 15-year-old," says Marie Jacques, of Bay Shore. "He walks down the street to school, to the high school, and he should be walking because he doesn't have the bus but it is scary."
The victim was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
