Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed in Stony Brook.

Police say Kenneth Rott was crossing Nicolls Road at the intersection of Shirley Kenny Drive just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police, that's when the 60-year-old Kings Park man was hit by a Dodge truck.

Rott was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver, from Brooklyn, stayed at the scene and was not hurt.
