Police: Man facing charges after stealing car, crashing it in Garden City Park

News 12 has been told a 69-year-old woman parked her Toyota Corolla on Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park on Thursday and left her keys inside.

A man is facing charges after police say he stole a car and then crashed it in Nassau County.

News 12 has been told a 69-year-old woman parked her Toyota Corolla on Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park on Thursday and left her keys inside.

When she came back to the car, detectives say she saw it driving away and called 911.

Officers say they saw the car on Jericho Turnpike near Old Courthouse Road but that 27-year-old Eleya Dah refused to stop.

Dah then crashed into a parked car on Central Avenue near Second Street in Garden City Park.
