Police: Man facing burglary, animal cruelty charges after breaking into South Farmingdale home

Police say a 57-year-old woman was notified Monday the back door of her home on Terrace View Road was broken into and her pets were let out of their crates.

A Copiague man is facing charges after police say he broke into a home and opened crates of animals - leading to the death of a cat.
Police say a 57-year-old woman was notified Monday the back door of her home on Terrace View Road was broken into and her pets were let out of their crates. One of her dogs killed one of her cats, police say.
The victim called police and when they got there, a man who police say broke in was still in the house.
Isaac Flores, 29, was arrested after police say he ransacked the house and tried to get away with a $2,500 laptop.
Police say Flores tried breaking into another home on the same block earlier in the day.
Flores is facing a slew of charges, including animal cruelty.
