Police say a man is accused of killing his father Friday afternoon in their West Babylon home.
Police say the murder happened inside a Fairfield apartment complex in West Babylon.
News 12 was told First Precinct officers responded to 36 Phillip Walk after a woman called 911 shortly before 1 p.m. and stated her son strangled her husband.
Police say they found 64-year-old Robert Taylor dead inside the home. Homicide detectives arrested James Taylor at the scene.
Neighbor Melanie Vespy says her husband heard people arguing inside Taylor's apartment Friday morning but thought nothing about it until police arrived a few hours later.
James Taylor is charged with murder in the second degree. He's scheduled to be arraigned later today.
