Police are investigating a drowning in North Amityville.
Police say 28-year-old Maurice Stone, of Amityville, drowned at a condominium complex located at 615 Broadway.
Police say a 911 call was received at around 12:45 p.m. from a resident of the complex who found the man.
Police do not believe the man was a resident of the complex. They would not say if the victim was a relative or a guest of someone who lives in the complex. They say they are investigating the case as an accidental drowning.
The medical examiner will release the cause of death.
The head of the complex tells News 12 Long Island that there was no lifeguard on duty because the pool was closed at the time.
