A Patchogue man is accused of driving drunk without a license and crashing with his grandkids in the car.
Police say Daniel Mitchell rear-ended a car that was stopped at a stop sign on East Lakewood Street yesterday.
His 9- and 11-year-old grandsons were in the car at the time, according to police. No one was hurt.
Investigators say the 65-year-old was driving without a license and a required interlock device due to a previous DWI conviction.
Mitchell is facing a slew of charges, including felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated DWI under Leandra's law.
