Police say a man fleeing the scene of a minor fender bender was killed when his SUV hit a tree in Brentwood.
According to police, the driver of a blue RAV4 was backing out of a driveway on Candlewood Road when he hit a car yesterday afternoon.
Police say Anthony Lapicola left the scene, but hit a tree just a short distance away on Bishop Road in Brentwood.
The 50-year-old Shoreham man died a short time later.
