Police: Man arrested for having loaded gun, drugs in car during traffic stop in Elmont

Police say a Queens man has been arrested after police discovered a loaded handgun and drugs inside a vehicle in Elmont.
According to police, the incident happened a little after 11:30 p.m. Friday when officers performed a traffic stop at Hempstead Turnpike and Belmont Park Road.
Police tell News 12 they spotted a green Dodge Neon traveling westbound with a defective headlight and no registration plate attached.
Upon closer investigation, a loaded firearm was recovered, along with what police believe to be meth and psychedelic mushrooms.
The driver, 25-year-old Emil Hill, is facing multiple charges include criminal possession of a firearm.
