A repeat DWI offender was busted again two days after taking a plea deal Tuesday on a drunken driving charge, according to police.

Police say Joseph Jacaruso, 51, was swerving and almost hit other vehicles before being stopped on Merrick Road in Merrick last night. He was also driving without a license, police say.
News 12 has learned he has been convicted of DWI in 2005, 2007 and just this week. Jacaruso also was convicted of driving while ability impaired by alcohol in 1995.
Jacaruso is being held on $75,000 bond after yesterday’s arrest. His next court appearance is July 25. He was already scheduled to be sentenced in September to six months in jail and three years’ probation.
