Police have made an arrest in the case involving a purloined puppy in Suffolk County.
Merrick woman Nicole Rispoli tells News 12 that she posted an ad on Craiglist to sell a 6-week-old pit bull puppy. She says she went to a home on Overland Avenue in Amityville Friday night to meet a potential buyer.
That's when Rispoli says the would-be buyer took off running with the puppy. She shared surveillance video with News 12 that she says captured the theft.
Police say they arrested Donovan Davis last night during an unrleated call. They say they saw something move in his bag, and he pulled out the puppy.
Police say Davis admitted to taking the dog.
