Two people died in a head-on crash on Montauk Highway in Westhampton Friday, police say.

Police say William Vogel was driving west on Montauk Highway when his car veered into the eastbound lane and slammed head-on into an SUV.

The 89-year-old Cutchogue man and the driver of the other vehicle, identified as Christine Kebbe, were both killed.

Kebbe's dog was also injured in the crash and is being treated.
