4ds agoA thief stole jewelry from the Macy’s at the Roosevelt Field Mall in a smash- and-grab robbery Wednesday afternoon, according to Nassau police.
The incident happened at around noon. Images obtained exclusively by News 12 show a large hole in the glass display case at the jewelry counter.
It's unclear how much jewelry was taken. So far, no arrests have been made.
The robbery is the latest in a long string of crimes at the Roosevelt Field Mall, including a similar smash-and-grab robbery at the same Macy’s in August.
A spokesperson for the mall’s operator, Simon Property Group, says it has a commitment to security.
Safety measures include 24/7 trained security personnel, a K-9 handler and a police substation.
