Police are investigating a string of break-ins at tech stores around Long Island.

The break-ins are leaving store owners worried.

Nora, the owner of an I Fix Screens store in Carle Place, says four people broke in and took more than $30,000 worth of devices.

“It's really unfortunate around the holidays because it doesn't even just impact us. It impacts customers as well,” Nora said.

Their sister store in Lynbrook experienced a break-in just a couple days later.

Videos from security cameras in both stores show people smashing a glass door, entering the store and leaving in under two minutes.

Samran Khalid, owner of the Lynbrook I Fix Screens store, says the items stolen from his location were valued at $18,000.

“Nobody wants to get woken up by that sort of news,” Khalid said.

Khalid says some of the stolen phones had tracking enabled, and he passed along addresses to the police. He says another tech store was robbed Saturday morning.

Both store owners filed police reports. News 12 reached out to Nassau County police and are waiting to hear back.
