Police are investigating today if two robberies that happened over the weekend in Nassau County are connected.
Nassau police are looking for a grey Honda that stopped on Amsterdam Avenue in Uniondale Sunday night. According to police, two armed men hopped out of the vehicle, hit a man in the face and stole his headphones.
About an hour and a half later, a similar robbery occurred on Independence Avenue and Lafayette Place in Freeport. In that incident, police say three armed men jumped out of another grey sedan and took money from a victim.
Police say it is possible that both crimes could be related.
Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
