Nassau police are investigating a double homicide in an Elmont home Sunday.

Detective Lieutenant Kevin Smith says police responded to a 911 call of shots fired at a home off Post Avenue. Investigators say when police arrived at the home, a man and woman were dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police say the woman lived at the home with her 20-year-old son. The man who was found dead was the woman?s ex-husband. Investigators are now looking for the woman?s son.

Witnesses told police they saw a man and a woman fleeing the house after the shots were fired.
