A Terryville man has been identified as the person killed in a Port Jefferson Station hit-and-run Friday evening, police say.

They say 47-year-old Peter Williams was crossing Route 1-12 around 10 p.m. when he was hit by an SUV that didn't stop.

Police say Williams was then hit by a second vehicle, but that driver remained at the scene.

Detectives are now asking anyone with information about the crash to call them.
