Police have identified human remains that were found on a trail in East Setauket nearly 10 years ago.

Police say the woman found along Greenway Trail in 2015 has been identified as Lucie Van Heeckeren.

The 61-year-old woman’s body was found in the woods on Gnarled-Hollow Road.

Police say the cause and manner of her death are still unknown.
