Police have identified a man found dead in Middle Island Saturday.
Police say the body of 26-year-old Alexander Incorvia was discovered by a woman walking her dog on a wooded path behind the old Kmart on Middle Country Road.
Incorvia had been shot, police say.
He had been living at the Medford Comfort Inn. He was reported missing last Thursday.
Investigators say they are hoping the medical examiner's office will be able to determine how long Incorvia's body was in the woods.
Neighbors who live in the area were shocked to hear about the death, but some said that there's been trouble in the area ever since the Kmart closed.
