A homeless man was arrested for allegedly trying to lure a little girl in Huntington Station.

Police say Jose Aparicio approached a 4-year-old girl at the Huntington Public Library Monday afternoon.

They say the 30-year-old gave her a stuffed animal and asked her to go with him. He also allegedly touched her hair.

Investigators say Aparicio took off when the child's mother confronted him.

Aparicio was arrested Tuesday near the library.
