Police have arrested a homeless man who they say is behind hateful messages scrawled across several Nassau County buildings.
Serge Delaleu was arrested Saturday.
Police say the 44-year-old wrote derogatory words in red marker on the doors of B'Nai Israel Temple in Freeport earlier this month.
Detectives say he is also responsible for swastikas and graffiti at several other locations across Baldwin and Roosevelt.
Delaleu faces several charges, including criminal mischief and making graffiti. He's being held on $75,000 cash bail.
