A hit-and-run boating crash left a women with serious injuries Sunday evening.
The incident occurred on Reynolds Channel in North Long Beach.
Nassau police say a family was sailing their 18-foot boat when a cigarette boat came speeding up behind them.
Police say the boat hit the back of the family's vessel and traveled up onto the center console, striking the woman. The victim suffered head trauma and broken bones.
They say the boat then reversed and took off toward Oceanside.
The speeding boat is described as blue with a white hull.
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
