A Hicksville man was arrested Monday for striking another man in the head with a chair at a Franklin Square wedding venue, police say.

It happened at the Sand Castle just before 1 a.m.

Police say Mandeep Singh was in an argument with a group of people before it got violent.

He then hit a 28-year-old in the head with a chair. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Singh is charged with assault.
