A Hauppauge man was killed in a two-car crash on the Long Island Expressway Tuesday.    

Police say Javier Perez's car was seen in the woods near Exit 55.

Authorities say Perez was heading west around 6 p.m. when he collided with another car and swerved into the woods and hit several trees. He died at the scene.

The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries, but is expected to be OK.
