Police say messages of hate were left in the mailbox of a Muslim family that lives on Norwood Avenue in Malverne.

Police say the message included a swastika and the message "KKK Hate Muslims, We will kill you, Jesus loves you."

Another message on a paper plate threatened that 'The KKK is coming for you Muslims."

The woman’s neighbors told News 12 that the messages were “disgusting” and do not represent their community.

Police say they are investigating the incident as a bias crime.
