The Great Neck man who police say shot a pellet gun into his neighbors' homes was arrested again on Sunday. 

The second arrest of Mitchell Levy happened 48 hours after the alleged incident in which he caused thousands of dollars' worth of damage in the University Gardens neighborhood early Friday morning.

Nassau police say Levy was charged in the most recent arrest with menacing and reckless endangerment.

Levy's attorney, Greg Grizopoulos, told News 12 he was addressing his mental health after the first arrest.

Grizopoulos spoke with News 12 after this second arrest and said another family member was at Levy's home Sunday afternoon helping to clean up when they got into a verbal argument.

Levy was arrested on Friday after a standoff with police.

He is charged with criminal mischief, menacing a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. 

A surveillance video from Friday morning appears to show Levy pointing a high-powered pellet rifle at two neighbor's homes on Somerset Drive South. The 36-year-old then appears to shoot through several windows of homes where residents were sleeping inside. 

Neighbors were under lockdown for hours on Friday. 

While inside his home, police say Levy raised and aimed what appeared to be a rifle at a detective. 

He was taken into custody some 12 hours after the first home disturbance. 

The Nassau County District Attorney's Office confirms Levy was arraigned on charges following his second arrest on Monday at NUMC where he is currently a patient. Judge Petrara-Perrin will handle the proceedings.
