Nassau County police say they arrested a Glen Cove man in connection to a fatal stabbing outside of a West Hempstead restaurant.

Erick Efren Corado Gonzalez, 27, was arrested on Sunday in Linden, New Jersey by Nassau County Police Department Homicide Squad detectives, with the help of New Jersey law enforcement.

Police say 51-year-old Ana Ruth Espinoza, of Glen Cove, was stabbed multiple times in the back of La Candela Restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike early Sunday. She later died from her injuries.

A 50-year-old man was also stabbed in the incident but has since been treated and released.
