Police say an officer was injured and a bystander was pushed to the ground by a Freeport man during a robbery at Green Acres Mall.

Police tell News 12 Aragon Burgess walked out of Macy’s without paying and threatened to stab an employee who tried to stop him.

According to police, Burgess went back to the mall later on and stuffed more items in his backpack.

Burgess pushed a 63-year-old to the ground on his way out of the mall.

News 12 has been told he injured an officer during the arrest.
