Police say a Queens man has been arrested for allegedly stealing tires and rims off of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in three Nassau towns.
Police say Christopher Moise stole the rims and tires off of three different vehicles in Baldwin, Bellmore and Massapequa.
Investigators say a fingerprint left at the scene linked 27-year-old Moise to the crimes.
Police say Moise would target the cars overnight, jack them up off the ground and then steal the parts. He made off with thousands of dollars worth of parts.
As News 12 has reported, there have been 23 similar cases in Nassau since last November, although Moise has not been linked to those crimes. Anyone with information about any of the thefts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
