Police say a body has been found in Long Beach.

According to police, a call was received from a jogger that stated there was a body on the beach between Monroe and Lincoln boulevards around 5:20 a.m.

Officers discovered the body of a female, approximately 40 to 50 years old, face down wearing undergarments.

The female was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is being investigating by the detective division.
