Detectives say Cory Fitzpatrick was riding his motorcycle on East Main Street just before 4 a.m. when he lost control.
Police say Fitzpatrick hit a curb, a sign and a fire hydrant before crashing into a fence.
The 29-year-old from Farmingville was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
