Police are searching for the woman who they believe is behind a string of knifepoint robberies on Long Island.
Police say the latest robbery happened at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Medford Avenue in Patchogue just after 8:30 p.m. Monday.
According to police, a woman walked into the store, showed an employee a knife and made off with cash.
Police say they believe it may be the same woman who has already done it twice before.
According to police, a Carvel in Farmingville was robbed two days in a row last weekend. Police say it seems to be the same suspect, a woman who walks in, shows a knife and demands cash.
News 12 spoke to some customers who say they can’t believe it was a woman who is behind the robbery spree. Others think it could be drugs fueling the crimes.
Anyone with more information on any of these robberies is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
