Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who ran down a man walking in North Amityville.

According to police, the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sunrise Highway.

Police say the 30-year-old man, whose name they are not yet releasing, was found lying on the road. The man is in serious condition.
