Officials say a driver may have suffered a medical emergency just before a deadly crash in Oakdale.

The vehicle flipped on its side and squeezed between two cars at a strip mall on Montauk Highway. 

Police say a man was driving east on Montauk Highway last night, crossed that into oncoming traffic and hit a parked vehicle. The parked car flipped and hit another car with two people inside. They suffered minor injuries.

Police believe the first driver had suffered some kind of medical issue before he lost control, crashed and died.
