Police say a Fort Salonga couple overdosed Wednesday night, resulting in the death of a 47-year-old man.
The man and woman were found unconscious by one of their teenage sons inside their Glenview Avenue home. He then called 911.
The deceased man was identified as Jeff Shickler. His wife was taken to the hospital. There was no word on her condition.
Neighbors told News 12 Long Island that the family had lived on Glenview Avenue for about 12 years. The couple's two sons are a sophomore and senior at Kings Park High School.
It was not immediately clear what drug the couple overdosed on.
