Hundreds of friends and family gathered in Bethpage Saturday to bid a final goodbye to a Syosset couple found murdered in their home.
Uncontrollable sobs flowed from the Chapey Funeral Home in Bethpage as family members carried the caskets of Jaspal and Geeta Singh. The couple was discovered by their two teenaged sons, shot to death in their home Tuesday. Hoping to find some clues, Nassau detectives were among those who attended the service. Fliers asking for any information on the double murder were left on a funeral home table.
Friends of the Singh's say their faith, Universal Brotherhood, meant everything to couple. Fellow followers say it is the group?s philosophy of unconditional love and non-judgment that is helping them cope with the tragedy.
